Orange and white moth - Megalopyge opercularis - male

Orange and white moth - Megalopyge opercularis - Male
Sedona/Oak Creek, Yavapai County, Arizona, USA
August 7, 2014
Size: 3-4 cm
Another remarkable moth from the Mogollon Highlands in the monsoon season. This one was sheltering on our porch in the sycamore-alder riparian gallery along middle Oak Creek. I think it might be a male because of the plumose antennae?
