Sparnopolius? - Conophorus - male

Sparnopolius? - Conophorus - Male
Little Cottonwood Canyon, Salt Lake County, Utah, USA
July 10, 2015
The closest I’ve been able to come to an ID for this worn male bee fly is Sparnopolius but I’m none too sure of that. I did find one that was much less worn nearby but those photos were even worse than these.

Thanks in advance for the help.
