Cotinis impia? - Cotinis impia
Salero Ranch, 8 mi E of Tubac, 4300 ft elevation, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
July 17, 2015
Size: 18 mm
I know this is a terrible image, but what intrigues me is that this bug was right next to a pair of bigger green beetles (C. mutabilis, I think), and yet it looks like C. impia, of which there appear to be no live images in the Guide. I thought at first it was a different age or sex of the green ones, but when I saw C. impia in the Guide later, I wished I'd tried harder to photograph it! Please frass if not useful or identifiable. Thanks in advance.

Nice find, and a live shot! We encourage you to get more, sharper live pics if you can. Thanks.
