Geometrid - Gueneria similaria - male

Geometrid - Gueneria similaria - Male
Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
June 13, 2015
Identified from genitalia dissection.

I'm trying to figure out how to separate Gueneria similaria and Cabera erythemaria. Do you know what the reference is that was used to determine the species. I realize it was done by dissection but the reference might include more information.

Reference used
Tony Thomas used McGuffin "Guide to Geometridae of Canada", 1987 to identify the geometrids he dissected in 2015.
