Hackberry Emperor Butterfly? - Asterocampa celtis - male

Hackberry Emperor Butterfly? - Asterocampa celtis - Male
Bullitt County, Kentucky, USA
July 19, 2015
Size: 2 inch
This guy was interested in getting some moisture up from the cracks in our old deck. He would zoom away but continued to return for more. I think it might be a Hackberry Emperor Butterfly (Asterocampa celtis). We do have a number of Hackberry trees on our property.
