Collected on patio screen door of room. Differs significantly in color pattern from P. subfasciatus (Evans, BOENA, p. 453), where the orange is chiefly found on the elytra, not the pronotum.

...but this is indeed a reasonably uncommon gestalt, so there may be hope
check out P. thoracicus(1) (by no means an ID!)

best match is in fact P. thoracicus
