Doryodes grandipennis is treated as a race of Doryodes spadaria in Lafontaine & Sullivan (2015 (1).

Thanks
for the ID. Is this identifiable as the "long-winged" race?

--
I checked the original descriptions for the nominate race and it's previous synonyms. Size cannot be used to separate the races but range probably can be. If so, I guess this is technically the "long-winged" race but the original meaning has been lost.

Grandipennis, latin for "great wings", was originally described as a race of Doryodes bistrialis. The epithet was used to distinguish this race from the nominate race. Application of the common name to the race grandipennis may no longer be appropriate.

I think so
Hey Seth - Yes, I think that northern examples are race grandipennis but I do not see where is directly says that. You can check the source yourself. In case you were not aware, the (1) in Lafontaine & Sullivan (2015) (1) above is a link to the reference page. You will notice that hovering over the number displays the reference.
