Resmbles Dictyobia permutata (=semivitrea), but... - Dyctidea intermedia

It was on a Eucalyptus camaldulensis tree but I doubt this was the host -- or was it?

This site has 7 in CA
http://canr.udel.edu/planthoppers/north-america/north-american-tropiduchidae/genus-dyctidea-uhler-1889/

These options are ruled out very early in the key:
Dyctidea variegata Van Duzee, 1938 – USA: CA
Dyctidea falcata Van Duzee, 1938 – USA: CA
Dyctidea uhleri Doering, 1939 – USA: CA

leaving us with

Dyctidea angustata Uhler, 1889 – USA: CA
Dyctidea intermedia Uhler, 1889 – USA: CA
Dyctidea nigrata Doering, 1939 – USA: CA
Dyctidea valida Doering, 1939 – USA: CA

The differences between these two groups are stated as "Tegmina broad, two and a half to three times longer than greatest width, vertex broad, anterior margin more than twice length of lateral margin" vs. "Tegminma narrower, three and one-half to four times longer than greatest width, vertex narrower". It is definitely 2.5x longer than greatest width, you can see the shape difference compared with the variegata (3.5x - 4x longer) shown on that page.

The key comes down to nigrata vs intermedia, vallida and angustata are ruled out by much paler brown colouration and far less hyaline wing markings.

Intermedia seems to be the one, Nigrata has a "uniform tegmina except for a few hyaline spots halfway of clavus, and some near costal border at apical third, clavus long" compared to "tegmina dark with many hyaline spots and distinct transerve hyaline band over corium, just posterior to apex of clavus".

Neat
Thanks.
