What to Whom?

What to Whom?
Sylvania, lucas County, Ohio, USA
July 23, 2015
What is going on here? I thought it was one spider . . . . then I started to crop it.

ID
Leiobunum politum, mating, male on left

Thank you Jeffrey!
Mystery solved. Such a little love :)

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Great photo
Looks like you captured a pair of Leiobunum being extra lovey-dovey with each other.

These are not spiders, by the way. They're harvestmen and belong to a different order, Opiliones.

Thanks Zach . .
Yes. I should'a known better. Harvestman versus spider. Sheeesh . After all these years.
I'm glad this is a 'friendly' encounter. I thought someone was cannibalizing the other.

Anytime
Don't worry, it's a common misconception. They're both arachnids, just different kinds.

I have yet to catch two harvestmen or two spiders in the act. It's a cool sight to see I bet.

Thank you Zack . . .
I just went from feeling mildly embarrassed to just a leeeeetle bit special ;)

Yep!
That's exactly how you should feel, ha ha.
