It should be that species though...
From Downie & Arnett's key to Hydrochus species, it went as follow:

1- Elytra not or only slightly inflated behind middle > 3

3- Length less than 4.5 mm > 5

5- Surface of head and pronotum granulose with isolated rounded, metallic spots on top of granules > 6

6- Elytra intervals inconspicuously, not densely granulate, always with some long metallic stripes > 7

7- Length 2.3 - 3.6 > 8

8a- Head, pronotum and elytra with spots larger and more distinct; usually deeper; length 2.6 - 3.0 mm...H. pseudosquamifer

8b- Head, pronotum and elytra with metallic round spots on top of granules distinctly smaller and often indistinct; length 2.3 - 3.0 mm...H. neosquamifer
