Buffalo Point recreation area, Marion County, Arkansas, USA
July 19, 2015
Small nectar-loving flies. The flowers they are on were growing right next to the Buffalo River in a forested area. The whole habitat was very moist even though it was a nearly 100 degree F day. They appear to be Nematoceran, and I am hoping someone can tell me the family. See linked photos for details. Thanks in advance.
