Caripeta divisata - male

Caripeta divisata - Male
9 miles south of Wrangell, Wrangell County, Alaska, USA
July 5, 2015
Attracted to porch lite. This individual very worn, but the only one I've ever seen here. Has not been previously reported for Alaska, but known to occur nearby in BC.

Also around Sitka
I've been looking through the moths you posted here or the past couple of years. It's been interesting that many are ones I haven't seen in Sitka, but this species does seem to be relatively common here.

You were the first...
...to report this species for Alaska in the ARCTOS database. I hadn't found it at first since I had misspelled the name on the ARCTOS search page.
