Moved
Moved from Philonthus.

We have genitalia sticking out -
so we can tell the narrow protarsi are not the female condition.
The species should be placed in Bisnius (male protarsi dilated in Philonthus).
Elytral punctures circular, and uneven placement of discal punctures on pronotum points in same direction.

Image of nudus from Russia shows the same pair of large punctures on vertex - I support the ID.

thanks again, Al -- very illuminating
Moved from Cafius.

Not Cafius
Looks like a Philonthus, maybe P. nudus which is coastal, and was originally described as a Cafius.
