Scoli
Wonderful photo, R. S. Bernard! I would postulate that natural hybrid zones between H. c. columbia and H. c. gloveri would produce larvae with symmetrical traits in scoli coloration. That is to say, that it would be possible by genetic inheritance that certain larvae may present as larger but with almost identical scoli coloration as an H.c. columbia, while others would diversify in coloration.
