From conically tapering terminalia, this is a female.

The photo shows this female on (dried) redwood foliage. Assuming that's the host plant, there are just two candidate species recorded using redwood (Sequoia sempervirens): T. poppense and T. knulli. Mt. Tam is well within the range of poppense and far north of the range of knulli (in the Santa Lucia Mountains). The dark medial and lateral longitudinal stripes on the dorsum (subtle here) are also characteristic of T. poppense.

Nice find...we don't have a lot of posts of this species.
