There are a bunch of these critters eating bluevine (Cynanchum laeve), which is a milkweed vine. The adults seem to be one of two sizes, probably indicating male or female. The larger is about 1.25 inches long. I tried picking them up to get a better photo, but they scramble around and one flew off before I could get a focused snap. They are mostly grey and black, but in one of the photos you can see some orangish hidden under the wings.
