Which Habrosyne?
Black light in an oak/maple woods

Moved
Moved from Habrosyne.

The glorious one
It looks to me like Habrosyne gloriosa.

Now,
how could you tell?
Thanks.

It's a bit difficult...
to describe verbally. My source is Peterson Field Guide to Moths by Beadle & Leckie, p. 176. They suggest the midpoint of the PM line is bent at 90 degrees. I'm familiar with H. scripta and it doesn't have the angle that your picture shows.

Actually you did very well.
I had been looking at photos of both species on BG and just couldn't see the difference.
The verbal description in Peterson's helped a lot.
Thanks.
