yours might actually be a shed exoskeleton because that looks like the lining of a tracheal tube draped down the prothorax and there appears to be an opening in the exoskeleton behind the prothorax

You are probably right about exoskeleton. The bug seems abnormaly thin, almost like a sheet.

I that, in general, exuvia don't flatten out relative to their "occupied" shape. Microcentrus nymphs really are this thin - pretty bizarre looking.

The giveaway that it's a molt is the white tracheal tube lining
