Weevil [=Smicronyx sculpticollis?] ID Request - Smicronyx sculpticollis
Herring Run Park, Baltimore City County, Maryland, USA
July 21, 2015
Is this the adult Dodder Gall Weevil?

Observed on a Cuscuta sp.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

wish i could help... can confirm the 'weevil' and 'adult' parts'
))))
i see no inconsistencies here with the habitus of S. sculpticollis, so.. great call, all in all

These are pretty small.
Thanks, =v=.

unless it was a male...
then it would be a Son Gall Weevil and not a Dodder Gall Weevil...

Yes it would, Blaine!
HAH!
