I think this may be a Juniper Budworm like . Confirmation or correction would be much appreciated.

Yours and mine certainly look alike. I was almost confident enough to place mine in species, but decided a second opinion would be good especially since it seems a rare species in New England. I had not seen yours - I need to make a habit of trolling through your images (but you have too many non-moths!). I saw this guy at the re-scheduled Ocean View Foundation moth event which was in your neck of the island (Clayhead Trail near the parking lot). My other images submitted for that date were also at that event, but these are a very partial list - I did not submit moths already on my own list. You should encourage one of your editor colleagues to check out both images.

 
I was confident too
But as you said, so few records of it around here... It is understandable you've been missing mine since there are a lot of non-moths so I've been keeping up with yours and commenting where I have an ID or similar image. I've also had very little wifi access so I haven't submitted all my photos from last month. Lots more moths, mostly unidentified!
