Yellow Beetle on sunflower - Zonitis sayi
Boulder, COlorado, Boulder County, Colorado, USA

Size: perhaps 1/4"
We found this beetle on a ( native ? )sunflower while hiking in Skunk Canyon around 9:00 am. Sunny morning, about 75degrees. We only saw the one, despite looking at many other sunflowers.
