Red Milkweed Beetle
I believe it is the more common Red Milkweed Beetle, Tetraopes tetrophthalmus.

T. femoratus would have red femurs and ringed antennae, I am not as familiar with T. thermophilus.

You're correct, it's not femoratus
Still, I cannot tell between tetrophthalmus and thermophiles. Hopefully someone will know. So little about thermophiles, I think you are correct........pretty likely tetrophthalmus. Thanks
