WHAT'S ITS OBSESSION? - Toxomerus politus - Male
Loudonville, Ashland County, Ohio, USA
August 4, 2015
Dang little thing is all over my computer (screen and cord) . . . my camera . . bold - fearless . . pretty cute. Over the top of my glasses (myopia) I can watch those little front pedestal feet-looking things picking up debris . . and then using its front legs to either eat? or discard? what it's found. What's up with my gear that its hanging around? My breakfast leavings?

Moved from ID Request.

You have 3 different specimens here and they should all be separated. this first one is Toxomerus politus....male.

Or did you separate 'em ?

Thank you. Whew.
I'd heard of the Gods of the Copybook Headings . . . but not the gods of the Bugguide ID request ;)

Oddly enough, I'm actually pretty sure I didn't unlink these particular images... maybe in my sleep? *blink*

Oh wow . . . this is getting . . .
. . . very interesting.

Bill !!! Wow!
Thank you ! That's a little embarrassing. Hmmm . . . I'm an unwilling Luddite when it comes to navigating the particulars of reposting these. Perhaps I'll just delete the entirety and start over. :(

Milesiini?
Yellowjacket hoverflies hover in front of humans all the time--not sure if this is one of those, but it looks like it's at least in the same neighborhood.

Thanks Ursula . .
I appreciate any help getting 'em in the correct aisle. Curiously, he wasn't interested in me . . nor did much 'hovering' . . . just kept getting cozy with my appliances :)
