Aphids on Pine (probably Lodgepole) - Cinara

Size: under 5 mm
John Pearson pointed out that this is likely Lodgepole vs. Ponderosa because Ponderosa has some fascicles of 2 mixed in with mostly other fascicles of 3, but all of the fascicles in this photo consist of 2 needles, which would fit Lodgepole Pine (always 2-needled).

Few aphids 'infest' conifers. I would start with Cinara sp. as a likely candidate.
