Dragonfly perching - Sympetrum corruptum
El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, USA
August 6, 2015
Today's maximum daily temperature reached 102 in El Paso. I was looking for bugs around 3-4 PM and found most dragonflies perching in the shade. Many other insect species were also resting in shady areas.
