Loxa viridis

Loxa viridis
South Padre Island, Cameron County, Texas, USA
August 7, 2015
Size: TL est. 18mm
A careful reading of Eger's 1978 paper on this genus(1) and comparison of my images with his Figs. 1 and 21 strongly suggest that the present bug is L. viridis, which was mentioned as occurring in southern Texas as well as Florida. Photographed on a window at the South Padre Island Convention Center. My thanks, as always, to Mike Quinn's great texasento.net for pointing me in the right direction.
