Black and red spider - Castianeira

Black and red spider - Castianeira
Deerfield, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, USA
July 31, 2015
Found crawling across a rock at the edge of my flower garden--it ran off and hid as soon as it noticed me.

Thank you!
Thanks so much, it did not seem to match Latrodectus variolus in appearance(particularly as none have been reported in my state) but it looks close enough that I was concerned it was the vanguard of an approaching horde! :)
