Life Cycle
reported from brakefern (Pteridium aquilinum) (Cockerell, 1902)(Pallister, 1953)(1), but Riley et al. (2004) suggest it actually feeds on paintbrush (Castilleja, Scrophulariaceae) (3)

O. margineimpressa - pronotum inflated, clearly widest anteriorly, and mostly smooth.
O. concolor - pronotum not inflate, only slightly widest anteriorly, and finely and coarsely punctate throughout. (1)

O. margineimpressa - distinct depression at about the basal one-fourth of each elytron.
O. concolor - may or may not have a weak indication of a depression on each elytron. (1)
