Red Centipede (Scolopocryptops sexspinosus?)
Bullitt County, Kentucky, USA
Size: 2 inches
There were a couple of these guys in some gravel and sand that had washed off the driveway into the edge of the woods. Very active - in this shot I was able to get the front section in focus as it came out of the ground. Two more shots to follow showing number of segments and the back end.
