You have got the male Tipula fuliginosa as well. Nice shot of the characteristic asymmetrical male genitalia. May I post it? - Chen

As a side note, the Tipula fuliginosa seem to be a later emerging species here in north central Arkansas. I took the photo of the female on 5/11/07 because she was different, something I hadn't noticed before. (There were probably males too, but I didn't recognize them at the time.) Now, this species of crane fly makes up about a third (rough guesstimate) of the crane fly population drawn to our porch light.
