Rhadine? - Rhadine

Rhadine? - Rhadine
Below Snow Bowl, Flagstaff, Coconino County, Arizona, USA
August 5, 2015

A published complete key to North Amercan Rhadine*
is sadly not available. The desperate need for revised keys also applies to the mysterious zuphiines (Pseudaptinus s. str., Thalpius*, Zuphium) and the enigmatic selenophorines (Selenophorus*, Discoderus*, Amblygnathus, Athrostictus). Working with different co-authors, I am busily tackling all these genera with the intent to eventually publish something more comprehensive than what is available now. Those genera marked by an asterisk* contain unpublished new species already known to me. More discoveries are anticipated.

Maragarethe, I intend to repeat the above background discussion at other relevant BugGuide posts as advertisement to acquire photographed specimens. The purpose is to provide the photographer with an accurate species name while advancing my knowledge on the comparative taxonomies. I am grateful to those who want to get scientifically involved by simply mailing me specimen material. Credit of course will be given to the people who provide these so-called "photo-vouchers". Looking forward!

If Derek has not send you this species yet
please send me your address again.

Rhadine examples
have not been sent to me from Derek as I recall. He did send other western carabid material. What is your connection with Derek if any? I wanted to send you my contact info via your personal e-mail but I could not find it on your blog website. I can't give my postal address or personal e-mail here so you'll need to go to my BugGuide profile, look up a recent article to get my contact information. Sorry about that and thank you.

It's all on my blog web site
but here it is mbrummermann@comcast.net The Rhadines and other carabids were collected at or close to one of Derek's study sites on a trip we took together
