Size: 1/4" at most
Is this Heriades? It seems too small (est. 1/4") for Megachile campanulae. Carrying pollen under abdomen. I think the flower it is feeding on is Galinsoga quadriradiata.

The photo is so good that the distinctive mandibular carina of H. carinata is visible
