Mystery wasp - Aporinellus

Mystery wasp - Aporinellus
Across the Colorado River from Needles, and a few miles south, Mohave County, Arizona, USA
August 3, 2015
Not the clearest images (difficult to approach/photograph), but an interesting looking wasp.

Found on the (fairly narrow) sandy shore of the Colorado River...with grass growing at the base of the nearby levee; and acres of dense, tall arrowweed (Pluchea sericea) growing beyond that.
