Pachycheles rudis

Pachycheles rudis
Argyle Lagoon Biological Preserve, San Juan County, Washington, USA
August 5, 2014
Counted 5 plates on the telson; also note the smooth chelae. These features distinguish the species (from P. pubescens).

Moved
Moved from Porcelain Crabs. Checked ID here.

Thanks.
That link is the same resource I used for the original ID.

I figured
Nice find

Thanks!
On this site it is hard to find people who work with all arthropods, not just terrestrial species. Your work on Block Island is impressive, and I would appreciate it if you would help with crustaceans I might submit in the future.
This picture, for instance, is a solid ID for a new guide page.

Moved accordingly
Nice ID work. When I became an editor last month I want through all the images in the higher crustacean taxa (classes, orders, suborders, etc.) as well as all the Peracaridan submissions (excluding Oniscidea and Asellota). I'm now going through the rest so I'll get to all yours. I also recently learned how to go through recent images in a taxonomic group (rather than just in ID request; no idea how I missed it before) so I'll keep up with all new crustacean submissions at lower levels too.

Great!
