Size: 2 cm
I found a cluster of Datana spp. caterpillars on a sumac. I haven't been able to speciate them. Can you? Thanks!

Confusing
I think there are a couple it might be, and I somewhat question the ID of similar ones here on BugGuide. They often change dramatically between instars.

That being said, it is probably a Spotted Datana, Datana perspicua, but it will probably be stuck just in Datana.
