Size: 1/4" + 1/4" oviposter
Found this small wasp laying eggs in a burdock (Arctium lappa) flower. She did not seem to be disturbed by my presence or flash, even when I moved the flower to photograph her from different angles. I'm not sure how long she was there. She was walking on the stem of the flower cluster when I spotted her at 14:04:19. She soon walked onto the flower and began laying eggs at about 14:15:03. I do not know if she had been laying eggs in another flower before I saw her. I stayed, watching and photographing her until 14:18:25, when I left briefly. I came back at 14:23:18and stayed until 14:27:00 when I again left to take photos elsewhere. I was back again at 14:33and stayed until 14:37:33. When I came back the last time at 1:45:36, she had moved to an adjacent flower. So it looks like she spent at least 33 minutes oviposting in the one flower, and the total time that she was on the one flower cluster was more than 41 minutes
