Dicromantispa sayi? - Dicromantispa sayi

Dicromantispa sayi? - Dicromantispa sayi
Tweed, Hastings, Ontario, Canada
August 16, 2015
The eggs (laid August 06, 2015) hatched on August 16, 2015, the larvae (within the container) are outdoors, hopefully spiders will wander by and they can climb aboard. (Question – do the larvae actively seek spiders or wait for them to pass by?)

Over a six day period the Mantidfly continued to oviposit, I guesstimate at least a couple of thousand eggs. It was then sent to an entomologist, its identity was confirmed as D. sayi.
