Viking Beet;le - Cydnoides renormatus

Viking Beet;le - Cydnoides renormatus
Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, USA
July 30, 2015
Size: 3 mm
I had previously seen this beetle in larger size (10mm) and still have not been able to identify him. With the white horns on his sides, he looks like he may be a Minnesota Vikings mascot. He was on my porch (elevation 6000 ft) probably trying to get away from the heat wave we are having (95F). Any help in ID?

Bug, not beetle :)
Something in this neighborhood, I expect:

Bug, not beetle
Of course; I knew that when I saw the piercing mouthparts while he was upside down. Then I got distracted and completely forgot that he was a True Bug. Thanks for the help.
