Nemapogon? - Lyonetia prunifoliella

Nemapogon? - Lyonetia prunifoliella
st donat de montcalm, hautes laurentides County, Quebec, Canada

Moved tentatively to Lyonetia prunifoliella
Moved from Lyonetia.
Pierre,
Welcome to BugGuide and thank you for your contribution. Based on Terry Harrison's assessment and the images at BOLD, it is the most likely choice of known Lyonetia. I have tentatively moved, but in the future, a severely low-angle lateral shot of micros would be most helpful in clinching an ID. Thank you.

Moved
Moved from ID Request. Cool find, and the first BugGuide record of this family in Canada outside BC. Thanks, Terry.

Lyonetia
This looks to be Lyonetia sp. (Lyonetiidae), possibly L. prunifoliella; it looks to be a reasonably good match for some of the images here. A different species, L. salicifoliella, which is shown on MPG here, appears to be similar.

lyonetia
Tks, for what I see, Lyonetia prunifoliella match very well!
