White-striped Black - Trichodezia albovittata - Male Female
100 Acre Wood, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
August 9, 2015
I've seen more of these this summer, X20, than in all my previous years. Hum, what was going on?
Looking on BG I saw that the host plant is Jewel weed, Impatiens sp. Since I've quit mowing the yard (I mow paths), there has been an explosion of native Jewel weed, Impatiens pallida. Cool. Now to find larvae and try to rear.
