Apiomerus crassipes? Apiomerus spissipes? Neither of the above? - Apiomerus californicus
Riley Wilderness Park, Coto De Caza, Orange County, California, USA
May 24, 2007
"Hey, it's tough being a bee assassin in these days of downsized colonies. And when I finally do get something to gnaw on, this stupid guy sticks a camera in my face, so I'm forced to toss my lunch away and perch on this flimsy stick. Oh, the indignity of it all!"

Note to the stupid photographer: Check accuracy of past posts - juvenile particularly - based on ID here.
