Gerhard's Perdita - Perdita gerhardi - male

Gerhard's Perdita - Perdita gerhardi - Male
The Belwin Conservancy, near Kettelkamp Prairie, Washington County, Minnesota, USA
August 21, 2015
This is the pale form of Perdita gerhardi, a new species for the guide. Can someone create a species page?

Several of these tiny pale bees were visiting a large patch of Monarda punctata on a sandy hillside. Note the dark wing veins, densely hairy scutum, and short vertex, which separate this species from P. perpallida, the other all-pale Perdita in the East/Midwest. Host plant preferences can also separate the species; gerhardi prefers Monarda while perpallida prefers Dalea.
