Asilid - Blepharepium sonorensis - female

Asilid - Blepharepium sonorensis - Female
San Pedro Riparian Conservation Area;San Pedro House, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
August 21, 2015
Found in grassland bordering hardwoods along San Pedro River. Very difficult to photograph. When it has prey it tends to perch deep inside the vegetation. As this was a thorny bush, it was painful to try to get a good angle. Also it tends to like to stay put once it 'hangs'. I moved it several times to try to get a good photo by bumping the perch branch. It took a bit of bumping to get it to move to a new branch.

Pretty sure it's Blepharepium sonorensis. Confirmation/correction appreciated.
