Wild Rice Moth? - Feltia jaculifera

Wild Rice Moth? - Feltia jaculifera
Aitkin County, Minnesota, USA
August 30, 2015
Size: approximately 1"
While collecting wild rice, there are many "wild rice worms" on the rice. We expect that they mature into a moth, and I'm curious if this is the adult version of the larvae we see in the rice. I labeled the image wild rice moth simply because that is where I saw it (and I've never seen a moth with those markings before). We were at a Wildlife Management Area called Ripple River WMA, just north of Mille Lacs Lake in Central Minnesota. The moth was active in the afternoon (picture was taken around 4 p.m. Sunday). It's not a large moth... perhaps around one inch long. Any assistance in identifying it would be appreciated. Thank you!
