Fuzzy Caterpillar Like Bug - Phobetron pithecium
East Palestine Park, Ohio, Columbiana County, Ohio, USA

Size: 3/4 inch
This bug was attached to the outside of my van when we left the park. It stayed suctioned to the car all the way home. It moves like a caterpillar or inch worm. The kids were fascinated by it and wanted to know what it was. We tried to look it up but couldn't find any pictures anywhere.

Hag Moth cat…
These can sting, so be aware that they should not be handled.
