Size: 2 cm
If I remember correctly, this is the largest leafcutter bee I have seen in El Paso. It was approximately 2 cm and it was easily spooked.

Note, bright colored fore-tarsi, slightly lightened eyes and lack of thick hairs on the ventral side of the abdomen. = ♂
