Sage scrub robber fly #3 - Stenopogon - female

Sage scrub robber fly #3 - Stenopogon - Female
Bernard Field Station, Claremont, Los Angeles County, California, USA
August 23, 2015
The third of several robber flies spotted in sage scrub at the Claremont Colleges' Bernard Field Station. This one is also perched on Leafy California Buckwheat (Eriogonum fasciculatum var. foliolosum). I am wondering if it might be a female of the same species as these:

Any information will be greatly appreciated!

Moved
Moved from Robber Flies. Probably Stenopogon californiae – see Eric Fisher's comment here.
