Steve, Valerie Bugh has told me that she agrees that his one is mis identified. She just posted one to Steniodes mendica that looks a lot like this one. I also have one in question from our ranch that I am sending to BOLD so I hope I can get mine right sometime in the near future.

I'm not sure any of the images in Steniodes mendica are correctly identified including my own. I good view of the hind wing would help. Regardless, I don't think this is that species.

Goodness gracious. What a quagmire! Will send you mine with the hindwing views. It was identified by Ed Knudson as possible another species but he wanted me to have it checked by BOLD so I have not posted it. I sent it to Valerie and she did not agree with Ed's choice.
