Looks
Like the dark crusader of robbers. Probably Ospriocerus aeacus. Likely some orange on the abdomen that is not visible here.

You are absolutely right! There was bright orange in the abdomen visible while it was flying. I should have mentioned it while submitting the photos. the dark crusader of robbers sounds like the ideal common name for this one. Thank you Herschel. I appreciate your kind help and expertise.
