Apple Sphinx
This is likely
Sphinx gordius
, # 7810, the Apple Sphinx. However, I'm not
completely
certain I can rule out
Sphinx poecila
, once a subspecies of
S. gordius
. The
BMNA site
doesn't show a range for
poecila
that far south, but a couple of sources do. My opinion would be for
Sphinx gordius
.
